SYMMETRY is currently developing a digital twin platform for the built environment that will allow AECO companies and municipalities to visualize building data across a myriad of formats. The unique approach of SYMMETRY allows customers to stream operational data from existing buildings and large areas, add algorithms, and render that data in a BIM or 3D point cloud model accessible via a web browser and viewable with a virtual reality (VR) or augmented reality (AR) device.
The Digital Twin Consortium and its members are the global leaders in innovative digital twin technologies, and SYMMETRY is honored to have the opportunity to contribute expertise in visualizing massive data sets in 3D building models.
“We’re delighted that Symmetry Dimensions has joined Digital Twin Consortium,” said Dr. Richard Soley, Executive Director, Digital Twin Consortium. “Their expertise in extended reality for construction and civil engineering industries will be a great asset to our members as we work to further the use of digital twin technologies.”
About Symmetry Dimensions Inc.
Symmetry Dimensions Inc., founded on October 20, 2014, specializes in research and development for xR (extended reality) — including virtual reality, augmented reality, and mixed reality. We are progressing communications in construction and civil engineering with the development of a digital twin that enables a virtual reproduction of static and dynamic events happening in the real world along with the provision of a digital infrastructure that allows anyone to easily access such data.
About Digital Twin Consortium
Digital Twin Consortium is The Authority in Digital Twin. It coalesces industry, government and academia to drive consistency in vocabulary, architecture, security and interoperability of digital twin technology. It advances the use of digital twin technology in many industries from aerospace to natural resources. Digital Twin Consortium is a program of Object Management Group.
